Transfer advice

Who would I go to for questions about transferring, courses, prerequisites, etc; if i'm a current student at UCR who wants to transfer to another UC (Berkeley,LA, and SD).

My current academic counselor or the admissions office of the UC i'm applying to?Or Both?

And what's up with the foreign language requirement?I'm a bit confused about that also.Currently at UCR, I have to "complete 1 course at the fourth-quarter level or equivalent in one language" to fulfill UCR's foreign language requirement.Would that be the same policy for the UCs i'm applying to?

I did search of this on the forum, and there were alot of people that said 2 years of high school foreign language is good enough and also stuff about IGETC I don't know too much about.

And I heard if your missing even one prereq that your chances at UCLA are shot.Is that true?

if ur a freshman I highly recommend you go to a ccc…

I’m a sophomore…too late.

Anyone want to answer my questions =]?

uhhhmm - i can’t answer too much, since i’m not a UC-UC transfer. but i do recommend going to your academic counselor AND your transfer center counselor AND check up the admissions of the UC of your choice. basically - get as much information as you can from various sources - so go to all, NOT just one.
