Transfer after 1st year w/Poor HS grades

Hello, right now I am a freshman attending a small liberal arts college in the middle of nowhere and I am looking transfer to a school that is larger, more urban, and more competitive.

My High school grades were very poor, I had a GPA at around 2.4 and I got into my current school after being removed from the waiting list.

I am halfway through my freshman semester as a Bio major and I have about a 3.5.

My high school grades were so poor and would probably cause most colleges to reject me even though I have shown significant improvement. So my question is, are there any schools that do not look at high school grades? Right now my top choice is Northeastern and I know that they do not look at high school grades after you have 24+ credits in college(1st semester grades and midterm report for 2nd semester). Are there any other colleges like this that are:
1. In the northeast
2. Urban/very near a city
3. over 2,000 people
4. About as competitive as Northeastern(3.3 GPA average I think)

I would really appreciate any responses, thanks! =)

buuuuuMMMmmmppp any1?

How are you halfway through your freshman year with a 3.5? its only October?

fabregas said “halfway through my freshman (first) SEMESTER.” Anyway, the school I go to, RPI, fits all those criteria. It’s in NY, right next to Albany, has about 5,000 undergraduates, and has an acceptance rate right around Northeastern’s with just slightly better admissions statistics than Northeastern’s. Plus, RPI has great science programs including biology.

SUNY albany doesn’t look if you have i believe 26 credits

i just wanna know, what is ur college now?
