Transfer After 2 Semesters

Hey,

I’m a second semester freshman attending a university in Virginia.
My first semester in college was a complete disaster and I basically earned 1 credit in total…
Second semester has just started but I’m doing great so far and plan to make up for my first semester mistakes.

My problem is that I realized this university isn’t really for me. I would REALLY LOVE to transfer to George Mason Uni. I’ve lived in that area my whole life and have regrets for not choosing GMU over the school I currently attend.
I was accepted into GMU during senior year, so I was wondering if GMU would accept me regardless of me being unable to satisfy their transfer requirements. The site states that they accept only a handful of students who have less than 30 credit hours and min. of 2.85 GPA.

My high school GPA and SAT scores are above avg. for GMU.

Is it worth applying? I just can’t see myself attending this college for an additional year.

THANK YOU for any feedback!

I would take GMUs statements seriously. Of course you can apply and mention that you had been admitted last year but don’t be surprised if you have a negative result.
