Hi,

Im a third year college student and am at my third school. I played baseball my first two years at two different colleges. Both schools were somewhat small. The First school had roughly 6K students and the second school had under 2k students. Through my first two years I was excelling in the class room posting a 3.8 GPA through two years. After getting burnt out of baseball I decided to transfer again to a larger institution that I had always wanted to go to. So I transfered to UNC Chapel Hill. Through my first semester I posted a 2.5 GPA struggling with the new school and the larger class sizes. I shook the semester off and started my second semester here at UNC and once again I find myself struggling and I cannot pin point why. I venture to guess that the larger class sizes have something to do with it. I do not party and I am putting in my time with the books. I just seem to not be digesting the information as well as I have in the past.

This is a huge problem for me that I need to get solved quickly. I have aspirations of medical school and I felt great about my resume before I transfered to UNC. Now I need to do something quick because I know C's wont get me into Med school!

I have contemplated maybe transferring back to my second school where I had a good relationship with my professors and made A's in my science classes. Im not sure if I want to do this though. I mean I have already transfered twice and I really like the atmosphere here and the student life at chapel hill. But, I almost feel like I need to put that aside and do what seems best for my grades so I can achieve my goal of Med school. I really am stumped on what to do. My last school was small, very small. The main reason why I transfered though was because I was not playing ball anymore and got into my dream school, It wasn't necessarily because I hated the school. Now Im starting to wonder if I would have been better off staying at the smaller school. I went from 20 kids per class to sitting in a 200 person lecture hall listening to a cocky professor try and teach us Analytical, Organic Chemistry, and Genetics. Its alarming because I have always had very good grades and study habits and here I feel like I am putting in the effort but I am not getting the results that I want.

Could anyone provide some suggestions on what to do?

Thanks
