Is it possible to transfer into the Air Force Academy after about two years as well as it i possible to transfer out after a couple of years.

You need to clarify your question a little.

If your are asking if you can serve enlisted in the AF/ANG/AFRC and apply to get in yes you can. The process of admission is similar but you will need your commander recommendation and might go prep school first.

If you are asking can you accept admission to USAFA and after 2 years transfer to USNA/USMA/MMA/USCGA not really, but you might be selected to complete a semester at one of these academies.

If you are asking can you attend USAFA and after graduation join the ARMY, NAVY, or Coast Guard. Yes that is called cross commissioning. But, why would you want to leave the Country Club for the bad side of town? JK :)

If you are asking if you can leave and transfer to a civilian college the answer is yes, but it should be done before the third year begins.

pnthrs11 - My sons roommate left after his plebe year at USMA and went to the USAFA. Obviously he had to start the application process all over again..

By "transfer" if you mean will you start in the 2 or 3rd year if you already have done some college, the answer is no. Each cadet does 4 years at the academy.
