Transfer app up...what should I do?

So I have my application filled out sans the essays(working on them) but I am curious as to when I should send it. As soon as I am done? I need to wait until the 28th and I am back at CC so I can get my letters of recommendation, but other than that I can pull the trigger any day now. Should I send it in asap and then get everything my letters of rec? I need to figure out sending transcripts(I need to talk to my HS and WMU) but I can not send them until the app is in correct? Also, I sent my ACT to Umich after I took it during HS, but I retook it(same composite, different distribution) and didn't send the newest. Do I need to resend both? Should I? Thanks :)

You don’t need to wait, you can go ahead and submit the app and send the rest of your stuff when you’re ready, it doesn’t need to be sent all at the same time. When you submit your application you’ll have an incomplete file and then when you send the rest they’ll just add it in. Michigan had my ACT scores months before I even applied, and they couldn’t receive my transcripts until several weeks after I submitted my app. I think if I were doing it over again if I could I’d definitely get the app in before anything else, but I took the ACT in June and sent my scores there even though I couldn’t apply until December (and they got my transcripts in late January) and it worked out fine-- I was accepted early February. You don’t need to resend the older ACT and I probably wouldn’t if it is less impressive. Since they have the same composite it probably doesn’t matter. I did the same thing and only sent my recent ACT (though it was much higher). I am told that as a transfer student the ACT score doesn’t matter much if at all, but I retook it too.

thanks for the input :)

I just finished writing my two short answer essays and I am now working on the 500 word essay. The diversity essay I felt like I did ok, but the educational path one I am confident in :)

and the last one is the easiest for me. Transfering is a very irritating process. I have to talk to both colleges i went to, my high school etc. it will all be worth it if i get in though :)

Yup, I hear you. It doesn’t get any less irritating. Now that I am all registered for classes, my old courses are all transferred properly, and my housing is set things are FINALLY settling down. But it took from December to now to get that done. Keep at it!
