I really want to transfer from the liberal art school that I am at now. The school that I currently attend is approximately ranked as a top 75 liberal arts school. I plan to major in biology and apply to medical or dental school.

I have a 3.50 GPA after a semester but I can increase it to 3.60 or better next semester
I went to a competitive public high school in Philadelphia
My class rank was top 20% out of 499
My high school GPA was 3.75 unweighted
SAT scores 1310/1600
My ECs are good
A lot of volunteer hours
Letter of recommendation is pretty decent

Please take the time to chance me. I am extremely worried that I will be stuck at the school that I am at now.

To better access this, I’d really need to know exactly which college you at at now presently.

A few problems right off the bat:
Your SAT is low (below the typical Brandeis freshman and probably below most of the transfer applicants).
Your high-school GPA was “ok” but then you went to college (and not a top-25 LAC either) and did worse in college than you did in HS.
The thing you need to understand is that Brandeis is extremely demanding academically – especially for pre-med, which is why they have such an outstanding med school placement record. If your GPA at your current college is 3.5, I’m suspecting that it would be challenging for you to break a 3.0 at Brandeis (again, knowing exactly which school you are at would help confirm this). Are you sure you would really want to transfer in, even if you could?
