Hey, i am an international student (sophomore) hoping to transfer to Cornell CAS in fall 2014. I am pursuing a dual major in Economics and Mathematics at my current university and my gpa in the first semester was 3.72 which might drop in the second one (the results arent out yet) and my marks are just a percentage or two off A in two courses :/ my SAT reasoning score is 1930 and i didnt sit SAT II. I know my chance for a successful transfer might be very slim but i want to utilize the time i have to improve my application for a transfer to Cornell and other LACs. I would be grateful if anyone can guide on how to better my application, especially those who were successful in transferring to Cornell. Could you also tell me what (top 50) LACs would be easier to transfer to? Thanks :)

can anyone who has already transferred to a decent university or a LAC guide me? What are my chances etc and is there anything I can do to improve my application? I’m seeking a finance related internship this summer btw. What other universities/ LACs will be easy to transfer to successfully?

bump!!! :s

I don’t know if your GPA will get you into Cornell; they’ve been uber competitive. Also, I don’t think as an international student you can get a paid internship. You may want to check on that because there are a LOT of students out there that can’t find jobs right now so they may take those internships.
