Question. I am currently enrolled at Laguardia Community College hear in NYC and will be graduating February after the Fall Semester session 2 ends. I currently have a 2.81 GPA. I am working towards a GPA higher than 3.0 by graduation date. You guys think I should go ahead and apply no with my 2.81 to Baruch, or wait and hold off? I did the research and as it stands my GPA should be good enough. If I hold off Iād start Fall of 2016 instead of Spring. Thanks in advance.
@MikeSe1 hey my gpa is 2.86 and i did apply to baruch york and lehman. I am still in the middle of the semester. I guess it would be fine but i will suggest to hold off unless you are sure enough that your gpa will not be low at the end of semester . Right now i am taking such courses which i doubt that it would increase my gpa or not so i applied for spring rather than fall .
Thanks for the advice. I am done with all my common core classes and basic requirements. Except for Chemistry, the classes I am currently taking, and the last one I need are electives. Iām focused so I should have a GPA over 3.0 but I understand what you mean. I started looking at Brooklyn college as I want to major in Political Science. They are more lenient than Baruch. I think Iām going to go ahead and apply for both but with Brooklyn as my first choice. Thanks for the quick response.

Me too! My GPA is over 3.7. and hunter college(1st choice) disappeared in my college lists. Is this information true? Iām so nervous. Baruck is your first choice??

now i am nervous too. i got to know this from people who were having discussion about this. they said that it disappears. and most of them said that its true but it might not beā¦ How come students with this much gpa get rejected what does your cuny portal exactly say?

and btw i have seen students got into baruch with low gpa like 2.75. i guess its actually depends on them. i have no idea how they select students. but if college links stuff is actually true and you guys have such great gpa, surely i will get no chance at all ā¦oh godā¦ why dont they just let us know
@hunterrrrrrrrrr oh I got a friend same situation, if they reject you with 3.7gpa thatās so wired. I didnāt even care about my result because I though of course I am gonna pass lol o heard of you have 3.0gpa you can transfer. Yes I only apply for Baruch. Iām international student too so I donāt wanna graduate too late because of money issueā¦ they take too much from international studentā¦

I applied to cuny around end of June.
They said that āaccording to our records, your application has been reviewed. You should expect to receive notification(s) regarding admission decisions from CUNY by late October/early November. Please keep an eye on your registered email and mailing address for your notification(s).ā
When i called hotline 1 week ago, they said Iāll receive notification within 2 weeks.
Iām also an international student. Now Iām attending to BMCC. However, I already graduated from college in my country. I applied around end of June. itās so stressful to wait for their response.

Hello, I canāt seem to find a trend for CUNY freshman application for spring 2016, I applied June 17th, not seen any email yet from any of the schools.
