<p>The JHU supplement essay for transfers is the only one required. If you would like to submit one of the Common Application essays you may, but it is not needed. </p>

<p>We do not release average statistics for transfer students as they vary greatly year-to-year. If you read through the former “transfer” blog entries on the Hopkins Insider blog you can learn a bit about the size of the applicant pool and acceptance rate. Last year the transfer acceptance rate was 8%. </p>

<p>Transfer applicants are required to submit one letter of recommendation from a college professor or college instructor. One may submit an additional letter of recommendation or two, but high school recommendations are not encouraged.</p>
