I am at a community college and will be transferring somewhere for the fall of 2009. Because of the way my schedule worked out, I feel that it is very important for the university to see my final spring grades that come out the first week of May before making a decision. I want to major in engineering or economics and am looking for schools with very late deadlines like late May. For example, Emory has a deadline of June 1st for the following fall semester. Do any of you other transfer applicants know of other schools like this?

most schools will wait to see your spring grades, Midterms if not finals, before they make a decisions. So i would call some OUGA and see what it is for them. Don't apply places b/c you want them to look at your final grades, apply to the places you want to go to, for specific reasons.

I agree with you, I'm not going to go somewhere just because they had a late deadline. But I just wanted to know if anybody knew a couple off hand that had late ones. Like the example I gave with Emory. Some schools send out letters in April and that would do me no good. But I agree with your suggestion. I'll start by finding out the specific policies in the schools that are interesting to me, but if they don't look at spring grades I probably won't have much of a chance with them. I'm an engineering major and because I started with college algebra in my first semester and spent a semester abroad with humanity type courses, all of my bread and butter math/science/physics/programming sort of got lumped into this coming spring semester. No college of engineering is going to accept me just because I got an A in calculus and 15 humanity/writing/etc classes.
