I am planning to apply to UW soon and the application process is just around the corner. I've been looking at the personal statement topics for transfer students and have no idea what to write. Can someone please help me or provide me with advice please, I want this to be a good essay. UW is my dream school.

Not exactly You don’t have to write a paragraph for each subtopic, but make sure you do address it. Even a sentence or two should be fine. (except for those that are marked “(if applicable)” - no need to write anything here; and remember that you might have sections about which you want to talk more and those about which you want to talk less)
Remember that you are limited to 750-1000 words.

When I don’t know how to address something, I just sit down and start writing down everything that comes to my head. I don’t care about style, errors, and other non-important stuff. I suggest you to try it. It might help you to organize everything.

my advice to you is write personal statement first, and then try to answer questions. when i wrote my PS, i had like 3000 words, after that, i reduced it by eliminating unnecessary and or repetitive details.

just remember that you are introducing yourself to a stranger. you need to convince him that you are unique and different and deserve this chance.

feel free to email me your PS and i will be more than happy to look at it.

Thank you guys, I am working on it right now and it will take a while until I have my first draft because of schooling. I would be very happy to let others look at my PS since I am very bad with grammar. xD
