I'm gonna be a sophomore at Berkeley trying to transfer for incoming junior year.

Major: Business Administration and Legal Studies

GPA: 4.0 (or possibly 3.9 something if i really **** up)

ECs: some business clubs, etc etc. some internships at companies, non profits, etc etc.

Have a faculty advisor who is a professor write a good rec for me.

Chances?

HAHA yay!!! oh yeah my SAT: 2240 btw

Beep boop computing

f(you)=7.4441q3891789237198%

Hahaha, it actually went up!

incoming junior year... bad idea. Wharton's essentially done by then. just finish up with what you've started

Matt that would involve logic

Yeah you're probably right. I'm actually thinking about transferring in as an incoming sophomore (Although I will have already completed my sophomore year at Berkeley). Is that possible?

i don't think so because the amount of credits you will have completed at berkeley would be considered junior standing.

Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention that I am currently a Regents and Chancellor's Scholar (Highest Honor Awarded to Incoming Undergraduates) as well as Alumni Leadership Scholar at UC Berkeley. I don't know if it'll make much of a difference though.

Hmmmm...really? But I have plenty of friends who have enough credits to be like a junior when they come into Berkeley but are still classified as incoming freshman.

Does anyone else know if I can transfer into Wharton as an incoming sophomore after I've completed my sophomore year already at Berkeley?

It sounds like you've had a really great run at Berkeley. Cal is an excellent school -- why not just finish your tenure there and come to Wharton for an MBA after you get some work experience?

I agree with JCoveney.

Wow, a 4.0 at UCB?! That's a seriously deflating school for engineering, so I'm guessing the same for business.

yeah i would just stay put at berkeley. what's the point of switching to a completely different school for only two years, if you were already doing awesomely? add the fact that you're going to cal, which is excellent school by itself, and a near 4.0 GPA will give you some excellent options. You do have a great chance if you wish to transfer, but I wouldn't bother honestly.

I disagree. Why not give Wharton a try? A degree from Wharton is more highly regarded then one from Cal (even though Cal is great!) but you will have a chance at a better job after graduation with a Wharton degree. Not to mention better chances of getting into grad school at Wharton.
