oh and let me correct myself: im applying for SPRING '09, not fall…but would it be possible to apply to/transfer into fall '09?

It would be best to check with Penn State. I’m not sure of their transfer policies, but I think that they might only take transfers to U. Park campus for the junior year, when all of the students from branch campuses are eligible to come up. I checked on this several years ago for my daughter. They might think that it’s not fair to students at PSU branches if transfers from other schools are allowed in prior to Jr. year -

“Transfer students to Penn State University Park must have taken two years of full-time college coursework before the time of transfer. Some programs have additional requirements that are noted below” [Transfer Requirements - Penn State Undergraduate Admissions](http://admissions.psu.edu/academics/majors/requirements/transfer/)

If you have taken 17 hours or less of college credit since graduating high school, you can apply as a first year student. [Information for Future Students - Penn State Undergraduate Admissions](http://admissions.psu.edu/info/future/)

From what I can gather from the website, you can apply now for spring semester 2009 admission. You can then come in as a freshman and not have to wait two years as a transfer. You can verify this information by calling the Admissions Office at 814-865-5471

very interesting. thanks a bunch
