Transfer Autumn 2013 Thread

@nymnyg1994 I posted my stats earlier in the thread. But basically i had a 2.6 hs gpa with a 23 act and a 3.75 college gpa. I was recently told they were going to wait and make a decision after i receive my second semester grades. So they didn’t deny me with those stats. If that helps you at all. Good Luck!

I was admitted today as an OOS transfer student (although Ohio native)-Korean major. Decision only took four days! My college GPA (based on only 12 credit hours-first semester of college) was a 3.0, but my high school stats were a little more impressive…3.9 GPA UW/4.5 W, top 3-ish% out of class of about 600, 33 ACT, 16 AP classes (with a 4.5 exam average).

I just got my acceptance, I’ll be going in as a Junior. See you guys this fall!

I just filled out my housing contract and paid for my security deposit this morning. I had selected my orientation date last week and got my Financial aid award on Friday. All I have left is to wait to hear back from the scholarships I filled out to see if I get any awards from them and my housing assignment. I really hope I get the housing I preferred for on my contract. We shall just wait and see.

Hello future and potential Buckeyes!

I got accepted back in January sometime. I’m an OOS military veteran (from Texas) of 8.5 years and starting OSU as a sophomore with a transfer GPA of 3.9(46 credits) and top 23% of my high school class. I will be studying Computer Science and Engineering and living off-campus. See you guys this fall! Also, good luck to everyone applying this year!

Hello all, I am currently a Kent State soph working at a double major in economics and biology. I got accepted into OSU out of high school but I didnt go for many reasons. I had a good job, all my friends went to ksu, its easier financially, and im close to home here. I’m just wondering if it would be a good move to transfer this year despite the perks of KSU? I know OSU is more renowned and I dont want to pass on an opportunity to potentially pave a better path for my future. If I was confident that I could do just as well later on as a KSU grad then I wouldnt really have a problem staying. Also I don’t know if I would be able to double major at OSU because I want to be out in 4 years if at all possible and transferring may set me back. Any thoughts?
