Hello, I am a transfer student from Pasadena City College to UCLA. I had a quick question. I am hearing a lot about averaging my GPA from my city college with the one at UCLA? For graduate school, medical school, or law school. Is this true? My City college GPA is a 3.7, but my UCLA gpa is a 3.4, will I need to average this for an overall GPA??

For medical and law school applications, ask on the pre-med and pre-law forums about how GPA are calculated for those purposes (which may be different from how your college(s) calculate GPA).

For academic graduate school, they are likely to look mostly at courses and grades in your major, and undergraduate research.
