Hmmmm
What if you are poor, and didn’t apply for FA, would they still reject you because you didn’t apply for FA?
I have those links, too!!! Praying this means something. I got into Hopkins yesterday…does that mean I have a chance at Brown???
@ILR2020 Financial aid wouldn’t be reviewed because it never would have submitted. Therefore they would never be able to tell if your EFC. But COA at Brown with no financial aid is 71,000. Maybe after some merit grants it would be lowered to $50,000 but no low income individual will ever be able to afford this…hence why we apply for financial aid.
@RickMedeiros Ah okay. The cost of attendance is listed, but nothing else. Is it the same for you?
Wow, they really hiked the price up from last year…
I guess I was rejected, no info about FA and COA
@lexluther96 Correct. I cannot seem to remember it’s previous display because I rarely went into this section of self-service. Perhaps we are being anxious again lol
@RickMedeiros And yes, same here! It’s really annoying. If I don’t get in to Brown but get in to comparable schools that are need-blind, I’m going to write a strongly worded letter to the dean about it. Their need-based admissions are problematic considering their platform on human rights and poverty. At least be consistently classist if you’re going to do it…
@ILR2020 if you didnt apply for financial aid you won’t have that. i didnt apply for financial aid and i don’t have it either
@ILR2020 You didn’t apply for financial aid so I would not worry about this too much…
@aftfl12 do you also go to NYU
@Gdawg30 There is always a level of uncertainty when applying to ivy leagues…Congratulations on JHU though!
@RickMedeiros You know, I kind of think it’s new. I was obsessed back in like March. I feel like I would have found that because I definitely tried clicking on a ton of FA links. That stuff never popped up.
@lexluther96 They recently mentioned the’re dedication to bring low and middle income students to the University. Judging by the freshman stats - it has not changed over the years. So perhaps, they are planning on meeting this commitment in transfers instead!
I didn’t apply for FA and have this FA option listed as well.
I cut and pasted the URL from the “Fall 2017” page (Under Student tab then Review my Application then
Fall 2017) it appears to indicate a rejection. Does anyone else notice this?
@sumtime what do you mean it indicates a rejection??
The coding in the url… read about this in a previous thread. Seems crazy if it would be that simple to inspect, but maybe.
Really surprised we didn’t decisions today… hard making it through finals week without this decision.
