Transfer CC to UCI, Nursing

Good Evening from where I live,

I’m currently a senior and plan to apply to my local community college. My goal is to transfer to a nursing major at UC Irvine. I heard that Irvine does not support Nursing for the TAG Program, Will it still be worth a shot to apply by then? Should there be a certain course I take? What if I don’t get accepted there, how would cal states even accept me? (Let’s say my GPA continued to be a 4.0 in this scenario but my courses were different standards). I have so many questions and I am so stressed out. If anyone could help, it would mean a lot. Thank you.

You are correct that you cannot TAG to the Nursing program at UCI.

It is worth a shot if you meet all the transfer requirements and GPA criteria.

Not sure what you mean by different standard courses since UCI lists all the required pre-req courses you need to successfully transfer.

There is a link for UCI pre-req courses and use Assist.org to determine which classes at your CC will articulate. There are transfer advisors at your CC that will help you plan your courses to meet the requirements.
