<p>Hello, I am an international student currently attending a community college. (Arrived in America for the first time last year).
I am loving the educational environments and opportunities provided! Feeling very blessed!
Back to the point, I am well aware that the chance for transfer admissions to prestigious institutions is extremely limited, but I was wondering if I stood a chance for transferring as a junior.</p>
<p>So, here is my stat:</p>
<p>SAT: Took it this year, 2200
GPA: This is the drawback, I did really bad on my first semester: 3.9 or 85
ECs:
Selected as Student Senate for my current CC.
former VP of a culture club
current VP of volunteer club
former PR position of business club
Founder and president of an online marketing project- have a couple of clients.
Internship at Silicon Valley start up
Internship at school's newspaper as PR
Constant volunteers for a couple of organizations
Contract negotiator when at high school for a company- clients varied from government to businesses.
Individual consultant/business environment instructor for a company(kind of big) interested in Middle East back in my country.- used to live in the Middle East and was open to experience and knowledge regarding this aspect.
Intensive labor for three months- does this count to?.? I learned a lot from the experience.
Mentor for high school students at an organization.
Other miscellaneous awards, honor, and ecs regarding sports and etc. in high school.
Speak my country's language, Arabic, English, elementary French~ getting better hehe.
Going to write the essay over and over until it's gold for respective colleges.</p>
<p>Well, this is it I guess. I am thinking of applying for the upcoming semester and year. I know its craaazzzzyyyy competitive for top schools but wondering if I stood a chance....
My main targets are the UCs but I hope I can go to the East coast.
A little chance with names of schools please?
