Transfer Chance me please!!

Hi
I’m currently a freshman at Syracuse University. I’m in the honors program in the dual program between the College of Arts and Sciences and Newhouse. i’m looking to transfer into either Columbian College into the School of Media and Public Affairs. I’m coming from one of the top communication schools in the country, but I’d really like to be in DC. Syracuse felt too much like a bubble

Stats:
College GPA: 3.2 (I’m on track for a 3.9/4.0 this semester)
high school GPA weighted: 4.3
SAT: 2330
high school ECs: fantastic, varied. show a lot of leadership
college ECs: decent, a lot of writing work
high school recs: awesome
college recs: i have no idea how these are going to be!! but good hopefully. i have good relationships with my professors

I was waitlisted for Eliot last year, and my sister graduated from Columbian in 2013

any comments will be greatly appreciated!

I think if you can finish at or around a 3.9 this semester that you have a really strong chance at getting accepted, especially taking into consideration that you’re in the honors program. The only thing I’m not sure of is whether there’s a difference in difficulty whether you apply as a freshman or sophomore.
