OK so I am currently trying to transfer into either U of C (University of Chicago) or Northwestern (Evanston).

I did not do too hot in high school.
3.3 GPA (4.0 scale)
30 ACT
AP: 3,4,3,3
played a decent amount of sports through high school (football, basketball, volleyball)

Currently attending University of Iowa (Iowa City) I am a freshman
4.14 GPA 1st semester (17 credit hours)(4.0 scale)
expecting 4.0 plus this semester (17 credit hours)
did some community service in college

I know this is limited information but I would beyond appreciate any input.

first semester I did 17 hours also this many this semester. As for my ECs worked a job through senior year 25 hours a week and played tennis in hs along with a basketball league plus a business club. In college I did some community service.

At the University of Iowa most classes run on a +/- scale so I received 2 A+'s and it my gpa is listed at 4.14 unofficially.

I am in the same boat as glabuz. I too am considering am looking at the University of Chicago as transfer and have a less than perfect high school resume and and a 4.0 at a large state school. But I don’t think the University of Chicago takes spring transfers so we both will have to wait regardless. If both glabuz and I kept up the stellar work, how much of a reach would the University of Chicago be?
