Transfer Chance to BME

Hi guys. I was wondering about my transfer chances as a biomed engineering major at University of Texas.
Texas resident

Overall GPA: 3.43

Classes now taking: Physics_E&M, Organic chemistry, Biology, the labs for those courses, and Introduction to Biomed engineering

I am taking the Intro class right now because I recently switched to BME from biochemistry
major due to what my parents say is better choice. Also, I am in the pre-med course sequence. The above gpa has been earned in a top-50 university.

I called the department and they basically said GPA factors a lot into the application. and said most of their transfers have 4.0 GPA's.

any comments guys? Thanks.

**** out of luck

Good luck. Really no chance.

yeah, like they told you, most people have perfect GPAs. And by perfect I mean 4.0, and by race I mean asian. JUST SAYIN.

Yeah lots of asians in the biomed engineering program.

As for your chances, I would say you have slim to no chance. If you want, apply as a biology major then transfer into BME. Otherwise, you’ll have to apply to some other university. Sorry.
