Hi!
I’m currently a first semester freshman in college and have applied to transfer to the University of Dayton because my current college isn’t a great fit and I absolutely adore UD. I applied to UD last year (senior year of high school) and got accepted with a scholarship. I have already sent in my application but am nervous about the results. My gpa through the end of junior year of high school was a 3.83 with all AP and honors classes. However, senior year, like many others I stopped putting forth my best effort and my gpa was a 3.3 which brought my overall high school gpa down to a 3.72. I’m a current nursing major and have all As but unfortunately my school doesn’t include midterm grades on the transcripts so UD won’t have the opportunity to factor them into their decision. I got a 29 on the ACT and have a lot of extracurriculars but I’m afraid that since UD won’t see my college grades so far they’ll base their decision mainly on my senior year grades which I don’t think would make my chances very good. Also is transferring harder since there are probably less spots available?
