Transfer chance

I am currently filling out the GWU transfer app. I currently have a 2.79 GPA (first semester was extremely poor, but i am now averaging 3.4 in recent semesters). Is all hope lost, and should I give up on applying to GWU ?

I am an international student, I have a good rec. from my business professor (he is an alumni of GW, and used to teach ad GW school of business)

I am applying for business- finance as a sophomore (48 credits completed, 13 in progress)

30+ views and no reply come on !!! I gotta make a decision quick

A 2.79 is a very low GPA for a prospective transfer student to GWU. Typically, you should shoot for at least a 3.5. Even though your grades are experiencing an upward trend, I’m not sure that they have thus far made up for the poor grades in your past. You can always apply, though.

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing I just needed reconfirmation.
