<p>I want to transfer to fsu. Now i want to major in accounting so the business school is what im applying to. I know for most schools it is hard to transfer to the business school. I have a 3.11 gpa after one semester with about 27 credits. i am taking a summer class at a community college and i currently have a 4.0 gpa at it. Now i have extra cirricular activities. I am part of the student programming board, accounting association, and legal studies association. I have also interned at an accounting firm for three summers in a row. I am also working at macy's for the first time this summer. Do i have a decent chance.</p>

<p>Accounting is a LIMITED ACCESS major. You not only have to be admitted to FSU, you have to be admitted to the major.

Admission to the limited access business programs is competitive and depends on availability of faculty and space by discipline. Eligibility for an individual will be based on the following: 1) cumulative grade point average based on all college level work attempted; and 2) satisfactory completion of required prerequisite coursework. Requirements in effect at the time of application to the program (after at least 52 hours have been completed) will determine eligibility for each student. Information for Transfer Students
The admission requirements you must satisfy to transfer to FSU as a business student vary depending on the number of college level semester hours you will have earned prior to entering FSU. Note: If you are attending a Florida Community College, it is strongly recommended that you complete your AA degree before transferring to FSU.</p>

<p>Transferring with 52 or more semester hours earned:
If you transfer to FSU with 52 or more semester hours earned, you will enter FSU as an upper division business major.</p>

<p>To transfer to FSU as a business student with 52 or more semester hours earned, you must satisfy the general FSU admission requirements for transfer students and the admission requirements for upper division business programs. To satisfy the business admission requirements, you must have completed ACG 2021 (Financial Accounting), CGS 2100 (Computer Applications), ECO 2013 (Macroeconomics), ECO 2023 (Microeconomics), MAC 2233 (Business Calculus), and STA 2023 (Statistics), or equivalent courses; and you must have an overall college level GPA of at least 2.90. Note: FSU’s general admission requirements may require a higher GPA if you do not have an AA degree from a Florida Community College.</p>

<p>Transferring with less than 52 semester hours earned:
If you transfer to FSU with less than 52 semester hours earned, you will enter FSU as a Business Intent student. (Note: You will be considered for admission to an upper division business major after entering FSU, when you have earned at least 52 semester hours including your transferred hours.)</p>

<p>To transfer to FSU as a business student with less than 52 semester hours earned, you must satisfy the general FSU admission requirements for transfer students and the Business Intent Academic Mapping Milestones below.</p>

<p>Business Intent Academic Mapping Milestones for Transfer Students with less than 52 semester hours:</p>

<p>Transferring after one semester at another institution (up to 15 semester hours earned): You must satisfy the general FSU admission requirements only. There are no additional Business Intent Academic Mapping Milestones.</p>

<p>Transferring after two semesters at another institution (16 - 30 semester hours earned): You must have completed both Freshman English courses, MAC 1105 (College Algebra), and at least two of the following business prerequisite courses: ACG 2021 (Financial Accounting), CGS 2100 (Computer Applications), ECO 2013 (Macroeconomics), ECO 2023 (Microeconomics), MAC 2233 (Business Calculus), and STA 2023 (Statistics), or equivalent courses. <p>The information states you need a minimum of a 2.9 GPA, but that is the minimum to apply. Given that it is limited access, I think you will need to have closer to a 3.4-3.5</p>

<p>keep in mind that the transfer application is pretty straightforward - no extracurriculars/essays are considered. its all a buncha numbers and statistics- so like sunnyflorida said you’d probably need to have at least a 3.4 or 3.5- but everyone is different.</p>

<p>I was accepted to FSU, UCF, and USF with stats slightly better than yours… you have a shot for sure. The difference was that I had an AA degree and you didn’t, so that does swing things in my favor.</p>
