I'm planning on applying to Georgia Tech for fall '10. What would be my chances of getting into the business school? I'm going to have 57 credits for sure by the time i apply, and 69 by the time im actually done with the spring semester and i'm currently a sophomore in CUNY Baruch btw. I'm most likely going to have at least a 3.0 gpa by the time i apply. in case this helps ive had an extreme and i mean EXTREME upward trend. my first semester of college-fall '08 after 16 credits i had a 2.18 gpa (D in calculus really killed me along with a couple of history classes), then in spring '09 i really bounced back with a 3.1 gpa and another 16 credits. took a summer bio class didnt do so well on it-C. and as of this semester im taking 15 credits and im really trying for a 3.85, if im lucky a 4.0 gpa but all i know is that my GPA is definitely going to be above a 3.6 this semester, and then 2 winter classes on top of that.

Are you international student or US citizenship? That’s big question.

Ga Tech required 3.0 for both overall and 3.0 math/science for OOS US citizen.

Ga Tech, however, required 3.5 for both overall and 3.5 math/science for international students.

Also, you are required to take one year of English, one year of Science and one of Calculus.

For Math/science, only Calculus above, science majored based Classes count. That’s biggest hurdle for most transfer students. If you don’t meet those above requirement, you cannot get in.

im a transfer student. I want to apply to their business school

That’s requirement for transfer student if I don’t make clear. Yes, College of management still required one year of Calculus and one year of Science. You still need to get 3.0 for overall GPA and math/science if you are OOS US citizen. You still need to get 3.5 for overall GPA and Math/Science GPA if you are international student.

So here is checklist.

Are you US citizenship or F-1 student?

What’s your overall GPA?

What’s your math/science GPA?
