I'm planning on applying to George Washington for fall '10. What would be my chances of getting into the business school? I'm going to have 57 credits for sure by the time i apply, and 69 by the time im actually done with the spring semester and i'm currently a sophomore in CUNY Baruch btw. I'm most likely going to have at least a 3.0 gpa by the time i apply. in case this helps ive had an extreme and i mean EXTREME upward trend. my first semester of college-fall '08 after 16 credits i had a 2.18 gpa (D in calculus really killed me along with a couple of history classes), then in spring '09 i really bounced back with a 3.1 gpa and another 16 credits. took a summer bio class didnt do so well on it-C. and as of this semester im really trying for a 3.85, if im lucky a 4.0 gpa but all i know is that my GPA is definitely going to be above a 3.6 this semester, and then 2 winter classes on top of that.

Hey just wondering what ended up happening. Im currently on the same boat and I’m not sure who to ask. I’m a freshmen at western oregon university. i started summer term and my gpa was 3.3, then fall term came and i got fucked over and had a 1.87 which dropped my cumulative gpa to 2.52 but I’m confident i can get it up to 3.0 by winter term which is when ill be applying and I’m somewhat nervous now because i really dont want to wait another term just because of 1 bad term. Im thinking about applying for fall of 2017
I don’t think you’re going to get a response from the OP. They haven’t been on the forums in 5 years, lol.
As far as your transfer situation, I don’t think you’re going to get accepted with a 3.0, especially after having a recent semester at a 1.87 GPA. Your best bet, if GW is really what you want, is to really buckle-down during the next 3 semesters so you can get your GPA up quite a bit more (3.2-3.5). You’re going to have to show that your 1.87 semester was a fluke and that you’re consistently performing high.
I know this isn’t what you want to hear, and judging from your post, you’re itching to apply. If you really want to, don’t let anyone stop you. However, I say your chances of acceptance right now are extremely low.
