I'm planning on applying to UPitt for fall '10. What would be my chances of getting into the business school? I'm going to have 57 credits for sure by the time i apply, and 69 by the time im actually done with the spring semester and i'm currently a sophomore in CUNY Baruch btw. I'm most likely going to have a 2.92 gpa by the time i apply. in case this helps ive had an extreme and i mean EXTREME upward trend. my first semester of college-fall '08 after 16 credits i had a 2.18 gpa (D in calculus really killed me along with a couple of history classes), then in spring '09 i really bounced back with a 3.1 gpa and another 16 credits. took a summer bio class didnt do so well on it-C. and as of this semester i got a 3.34 gpa and then 2 winter classes on top of that.

hi,I am also considering apply to UPITT,my major is finance, what do you think about their B-school?Is it good?

Your chances may be slim due to a drop in your gpa. I don’t know the minimum transfer requirements for business majors but I know most schools at Pitt require a ridiculous amount of credits in order to transfer (60 credits opposed to 30-36 like many schools with similar rankings). uckily, with 69 credits you will be in good shape. In most majors they want at least a 3.0 GPA, with 2.75 being the minimum in tougher majors like engineering.
