Transfer Chances at UNC

Hello, i am just curious what my chances are for a school as good as UNC. I am a transfer student. I recently transfered to Maryland-College Park from a CCC. My GPA was 3.85 and at Maryland i plan on raising it even more. I have tons of ec's or will at maryland. will i be seen as lower applicant because i transfered from a community college? This fall will be the begining of my sophmore year. Is there anything i should endeavor to catch up on? I am majoring in economics and i hope to transfer to UNC in fall 07, ie, my junior year. any advice is much appreaciated. Will my highschool grades have a large impact on the decision making? i do recall it being part of the application

plz some one answer

I don't know how UNC looks at students that have already attended two schools. YOu haven't even started at Maryland and you are looking to transfer-why? You would have been better off staying at CC another year and then transferring. UNC takes a lot of junior transfers from CC. My concern would be that you might lose some credits tranferring from school to school to school.

As far as your high school record, it isn't as important for a junior transfer as it is for a sophomore. What type of EC's do you have at Maryland as well as CC? UNC likes to see strong essays; I am sure they would be interested in why another transfer.

If you are set on UNC, give it a try. You never know what they might do!

Good luck.
