I'm going to most likely have a 3.05 gpa or around there. im currently a sophomore at CUNY Baruch college in NYC. I've had a tremendous upward trend since i first entered college. my freshman year i had a 2.18 gpa. second semester of freshman year i had a 3.1 gpa and this semester im definitely going to have at least a 3.6 gpa along with a couple of winter courses. I know im definetely a long shot but i was looking at the UNC website for chapel hill and i saw that the average transfer gpa for kids who got accepted was a 3.14 so im not exactly hopeful but it does seem a little too appealing.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the average GPA for Fall 2009 Transfers was 3.44, many of which (the majority) were much higher; I had a 3.86 GPA from a Top 50 Private.

UNC does like upward grade trend and if you have a good argument in your essays, then there’s a slight chance. I know of kids who got in with 3.3s and kids who got denied with 3.5 GPAs.

aah its all good, i was lookin at the junior transfers avg. gpa but no matter, this is my dream school and as much as i would LOVE to come here its definetely gonna be a long shot, and i might actually get a 4.0 if i get a couple of breaks this semester. i’m just happy that someone replied back lol thanks.

out of curiosity, where’d you transfer from Bruins?
