Interested in my chances in the undergraduate operations research and engineering program at Cornell. I'd be transfering as an incoming junior from Lehigh's engineering program.

White Male from Western NY
GPA: 3.54/4
Major GPA: 3.7/4 (only one class counting in this)
SAT: 2080
HS GPA: 92/100 unweighted, ranked 20/124 (didn't do that well in HS, will probably write how I improved)
APs: 4's in Euro History and US History, both of which should transfer to Cornell.
ECs: Nothing significant in college. I had an engineering internship this past summer if that matters.

I will have completed 70 credits in my 4 semesters, including the calc sequence, linear algebra/diff eqs, 2 semesters of physics, chemistry, 2 semesters of english/writing, and 3 semesters of programming. I am not all that sure how competitive I would be, so I'd like to see what you all think before I start the process. Thanks!

I don't know about chances (because no one on this site can really predict that for you--if they could, they'd be admissions officers!) but your college record will be much more important at this point than your high school record. Your APs and SAT scores are not really going to count very much (even though you may need to provide them). Cornell will want to know how well you've done in college and will want recommendations from your current professors. That is a much better predictor of your success at Cornell. And yes, your engineering internship will matter. I'm not sure I'd write about how you've improved academically since high school--I'd try to think of something that reflects your current interests.

Any other thoughts? I'm not looking for some ridiculous "You have exactly 62.59% of admission," but rather whether or not I would be competitive and if its worth the time to apply.
