Transfer Chances Fall 2014

Hi I am applying for transfer fall 2014 from the university of Arkansas. After my First semester of college I completed 14 hours +(3 credits from AP Psychology exam which i received a 4 on) credit hours=17 hours. I ended this semester with a 3.57 GPA
English(3 credits)-A
Chemistry(3 credits)-B
Spanish(3 Credits)-B
College Algebra(3 Credits)-A
University Seminar(1 Credit)-A
Chemistry Lab(1 Credit)-A
I plan on taking these courses this semester and complete 16 hours
English(3 credits)
Biology(3 credits)
Spanish(3 credits)
Statistics(3 Credits)
Biology Lab(1 Credit)
Sociology(3 Credits)
I have written 2 of the 3 essays
I have 4 letters of recommendations being sent and lots of EC's
I also just completed Winter Term GOVT 2305 through Dallas Community College and Received an A
So I have 36 transfer hours for UT (33 Not including AP Credit)

I am applying for COLA Psychology and UGS Undeclared
Chance me?

Also, If anyone knows should i notify UT about my AP credit before they make an admission decision? I did not count the AP hours in my # of completed hours on the Apply Texas Application because i was not sure how this worked.

I’m not sure about Psychology but I know COLA and UGS are the easiest colleges to get into. I got into UGS with a 3.57 GPA and I know there were people on the forum with lower GPAs who also got in. You should be fine. Assuming your resume and essays are good.

I would go ahead and just claim your AP credits at Arkansas (unless the credits won’t transfer or something). To my knowledge if you just transfer your AP credits directly to UT (instead of to Arkansas then to UT) it won’t count towards your hours. But I never got any AP credits so don’t quote me on that.
