<p>Well, I was previously looking mainly at Rice and Cornell, but I was also considering Wash U since it’s nearby. I haven’t looked at Penn State and Wisconsin yet (I’m about to), but Michigan appears to have a truly exceptional math department, and although I haven’t had much time to research it in depth, it looks like it very may well end up vying with Rice and Cornell for my top choice. I’m especially impressed by their honors math program and their math club which meets once a week; it seems like Michigan’s math department has a great, lively culture, which is totally different from my current school.</p>
<p>I’m applying for spring 2010 transfer. I missed the fall 2009 deadlines. :D</p>
