Transfer Chances for cs school or cit

I am currently a freshman at nyu. I have a 3.675 for my first semester. My high school grades weren't that spectacular however:

1300/1950 SAT.
680 Math Level 1
670 Math Level 2
630 Physics
91 weighted gpa.

Rate my chances for transfer into the cmu cs school or cit for next fall. Thanks.

I think that CS will definitely be a big reach for you, especially depending upon what your math/science grades were at NYU. 680, 630 and 670 are not the best scores you could be applying with, but if your reasoning math is higher, it could save you.

I think you have a better chance at CIT, depending on major. However, I don't think anything is a sure thing.

Good luck!

stay at nyu, we are so jealous of kids who actually live in a legit "city" (yeah, pittsburgh isn't)

just kidding, CS is probably gonna be really really tough for everyone transfering in from other universities because there are very limited number of seats for CS undergraduates. And there will be at least 10+ people wanting to transfer into CS school from within CMU, and they will be considered first, I believe.

CIT could be possible. ECE could be tough, but other than that, you'll have a chance.
