My first semester at community college included: A, A, B, and then two W’s. I withdrew from Statistics and Geology.
My second semester included: A, A, A, B, B, B, and one W which was Statistics again.
I apply for UNC Wilmington next Spring, so those grades won’t be entered yet. I was planning on taking a heavy courseload this semester since it’s classes like Mythology, Intro to Sociology, Creative Writing, American Literature, and either Film Studies or Art Appreciation, and probably Music Appreciation to fulfill my basic education requirements. Then I was going to take my math class next semester when I only have four classes so I can focus more on it.
But since I have dropped math two times in a row, should I do it this semester so that it’s on my record when I apply? I would be able to make an A because I’d be taking a different math and would have a tutor.
I have also thought about joining a college club to have on my application.
I have a 3.6 GPA and am very worried I won’t be able to transfer. Opinions?
