Hi, all. I was hoping I could get some transfer chances if you'd all be so nice.
I currently attend Louisiana State University.
My stats are:
High school GPA: 3.2
First Semester LSU GPA: 4.0 (hoping it will cancel out the 3.2, lol)
SAT: 2010
EC's: High school sports and tons of work experience. Unfortunately, I have almost no real clubs/groups to my name. I'm sure I could dig up a few inconsequential things, but I've never really been "President of ___" or anything special like that. :(

I was looking at
NYU
Boston University
Umass: Amherst
Skidmore
American University
UCLA

Chances would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Also, I had a question: schools will check my GPA for second semester, right? I plan on maintaining a 4.0, anyway, just wondering if it will help my chances.

if you are applying for fall '09, schools will not see your second semester grades from your current school unless they ask for your midterm grades, but even this is fairly rare....your hs record will therefore likely be of more importance than your one semesters worth of college...this, along with your lack of ec's, will make it very hard to get into the two most competitive schools on your list (nyu and ucla), although if you maintained your gpa you would have a very good shot for junior admissions...you should have a better shot at all the other schools on your list

Thanks a lot! I kind of figured UCLA and NYU were longshots, but it's nice to hear that the others aren't far out of my reach. Bummer about lack of second semester grades, though. Anyway, thanks again!
