<p>Im a community college student in nj. Im a poli sic major and im looking to transfer to these schools: (in choice order)</p>

<p>I currently have a 3.3 and have taken a lot of difficult classes such as statistics and survey of world cultures. I dont even know if how difficult the classes are matters but my GPA is a 3.3.
I am the president of the Multicultural club.
Ive done numerous hours of volunteering at soup kitchens and with habitat for humanity.
i am also a literacy volunteer which means im a professionally trained tutor and i have an adult student who i am currently teaching how to advance their abilities in reading, writing, or speaking, so they can have a better life, maybe upgrade their career and such.
I have had a job all while in college.
I have also run into many issues with family. over the passed year my family was evicted. My dad chose to escape to Tennessee and my mom chose to move in with her boyfriend leaving me homeless for short period of time until my mother and i put money together to get an apartment that i stay at primarily because she prefers to be with her boyfriend.
i went through all of this while working and maintaining a slightly above average gpa. </p>
<p>I like to consider myself a good person. I am in the process of becoming a buddhist. I give to people as much as possible. Ive been left with no money walking around downtown manhattan (my gf goes to nyu so i spend a lot of time there) because i would have 6 bucks left and give it to a homeless guy but my outlook on life is that i would rather have a full heart and empty pockets than full pockets and an empty heart. Idk thats just me
I am also a very good writer and have a volume of my own poetry. It isnt published so i dont know if that would make a difference.
