Transfer Chances-plz help

Hey Y'all!

I am new to college confidential. My first time applying did not go so well, so I am trying to take more care this time.

ACT: 33
SAT II Bio: 760
SAT II U.S History: 730
*AP score: not so hot 5,5,4,4,3,3,2
GPA: 3.82 (unweighted)
-my school does not have ranking
Essays: were not that strong. Long one-I talked about my interests in Chinese and Spanish. Short one-how I really enjoyed debate. =(

*I went to a public high school in the Midwest-I got A's in the AP classes but I was not as well prepared for some of the AP exams.

Award and Internships:
-4th at International science fair and 2nd at a National science fair
-Science research internship helped with the science fair
-Distinguished Finalist for the Prudential Community Service Award (at my senior year)
[only a few are recognized per state]
-Presidential gold community service award (basically for the hours that I served)
-Page for the state government (two selected max per high school)
-Wrestling and Debate for four years (it was for fun, I won a few minor awards for debate)

I really want to get into psychiatry. My father has a mental illness, and is considered disabled. He was successful, but after losing his job and then his dad, he cracked. He was prescribed medication, but he never dealt with the root of the problem. Currently he just stays at home medicated all day. I want to be able to help people like my dad by not just prescribing medicine but requiring more extensive behavioral treatment and guidance counseling.

Currently I am a freshman majoring in psychology and minoring in Chinese and Spanish. The school I got into is great but it does not have its own medical school.

I am interested in transferring to Vanderbilt, Brown, or Columbia.

They all have a great pre med program. In addition, they have their own medical schools which would make shadowing doctors much easier. In addition, I could take advance courses at the medical campus. Johns Hopkins is great but it is notorious for its grade deflation. I know the HYPS are out of my reach since I already got rejected from there.

What are my chances? And what should I be focusing on this year to make myself a stronger candidate?

Your input would be much appreciated.

bump. No response yet. =/

When do you intend to transfer and how good is your current school? Because of how good the schools you want to get into are, the caliber of school you go to matters. Also, regarding the classes you should be taking, it is basically the core requirements. Take all the general courses that are required for graduation and make sure you take at least 15 credits a semester. The school you transfer to wants to make sure you graduate on time.
