Transfer Chances to UC's

I'm currently in my second year of JC, attempting to transfer to a UC by the end of spring 06'. Here are my stats:

Credits: 31.5 xfer/ 11 IP

GPA: U/W @ 3.65

Major: English w/ Japanese minor

I intend to apply to CAL, UCLA, & UCSD. I just need some suggestions of what the average English major GPA is at each one of these UC's. I'm under the impression that I need to pull at least a 3.9+ for CAL, 3.8+ for UCLA, 3.5+ for UCSD to be accepted by these UC's, major not being a factor. Though I am aware that this varies by your major, I assume that if I can pull off at least the above GPA's I have a high chance of being accepted. Anyways, chime in English majors!

Just make sure to apply to some lower UCs as well unless you have another safety. You should have a decent dhot but those schools are rejecting a lot of qualified candidates this year.

really?!?! To be honest, UCSD was my safety because I heard it was fairly easy to get in based on GPA (and also their TAG Agreement). I did plan on doing TAG before but thought it would be a waste of time since I was already doing IGETC and had a decent GPA BUT now I'll have to reconsider it. CAL is obviously a reach for me as well as UCLA but is more attainable (at least I though it was :(). Ummm...looks like UCD, UCI & UCSB would be my safety schools but, damnit, these schools are anything but spectacular. I'm just going to pray for next year.

26% of all people going to CAL get 3.93 or above.

You really need to have more safties including Davis, UCSB, and Riverside.
