Hey everyone, I used to post here every now and then but I've since lost my login info. Anyway, I just wrapped up my first year of college at UCLA and it's been great, but I just wanted an outside opinion on if my transferring chances were plausible. During my first year of college, I've discovered that I really want to pursue a career in finance - particularly investment banking/consulting and eventually private equity. UCLA isn't exactly THE best school for it, but there are definitely still a fair number of kids who do get offers. Anyway, here it goes I guess - I'll keep it brief:

High School Stats:
SAT I - 2300

SAT II - 800 Math IIC, 750 Bio M

GPA - 90-91/100 (from a Canadian high school)

ECs: Director of a non-profit (2 years), MUN (2 years), school band - trombonist (4 years), various musical ensembles such as jazz band, men's chorus (2 years), track and field (2 years)

College Stats:
UCLA GPA - ~3.7/4.0, Dean's Honor List
Coursework in financial and managerial accounting, multivariable calculus, college level writing, etc.

National finalist for a leadership conference of a top 5 consulting firm (only 8 selected nationwide, only person to be selected from UCLA)

Summer intern at a private equity firm - makes M&A and recap deals w/ $30mm-500mm revenue companies and other $1bn+ private equity funds

Upcoming fall internship at a local investment bank (mostly recapitalization deals)

Interned for 6 months at UCLA's student government office (17 selected from 100+ applicants)

Dorm floor government external vice president

That's about it - I'd probably be transferring only to schools with significant advantage in recruiting, so Wharton, Harvard, and Stanford and maybe a couple of others.

Thanks for your time.
