<p>Here we go.</p>

<p>Freshman at a private 4 yr liberal arts school
GPA: 4.00
HS GPA: 2.36
ACT: 26</p>

<p>Nothing special as far as E/C goes. </p>

<p>I feel like it’s almost not worth paying the application fee, considering how atrocious my HS GPA is. One of my recs will be from someone who taught at American for awhile and got 2 degrees there…maybe that will help?</p>

<p>Basically I’m wondering if anyone who wanders these boards transferred in with an embarrassing HS record.</p>

<p>If only I could have taken 24 credits first semester.</p>

<p>Since you are transferring after Freshman year, they will want to see your grades after second semester. My daughter went through this 4 years ago, and she did not get the final decision until early July.</p>

<p>Well that’s some good news. Hopefully I will get another 4.0 this semester, and I’ve been able to take a full (18 hr) course load so perhaps it will be weighted more. </p>
