Transfer chances?

Hello all,

Im currently enrolled at a community college in Pennsylvania and completed one semester and recieved a gpa of 3.32 gpa. Two A's in English I and speech communication. Two B+'s in american history and sports management, and a C. However, the C was in a rediculous computer class. By the end of this spring semester i will have completed 31 credits total. 15 in the fall and 16 in the spring. My spring classes are statistics, english II, enviornmental science, intro to business, and intro to psychology. I applied to pitt and Temple just a little bit ago for the fall of 2012 and i want to know what my chances are of getting in. i also did a reccomendation for Pitt. My high scool gpa was a 3.4 and i was in a few honors classes and involved with sports and what not. So i just wanna know what my chances are of getting in. I applied to both of them for general Studies.
Just let me know what my chances are of getting in?? Im nervous and wanna go to a 4 year school! I really want to go to these colleges!

Bumpppppppppp

Bumpppp for replysss??

I think you have a good shot. It says here the average GPA for transfers is 3.0 [Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students](http://www.temple.edu/undergrad/applying/transfer.htm)

good luck

Ok thanks pamom. Can i have some other input? Bumpppp

Bumpping for more repliess

@Kringle1112 I think you have a good chance. Can I ask when you submitted your transfer application? I submitted mine on 12/19/11, and the status still says “Complete Ready for Review”.

I sent mine in on jan 18 and i think they just got everything. So im just keeping my fingers crossed.

How many credits gave you completed and what were your
Grades?

Bumpingg for other input

I’ve completed 47 credits and I have 16 this semester. My GPA is only a 2.8, so I’m stressing. They’ve had everything since 12/19/11.
FYI…I got into Temple when I applied my Senior year of high school, but decided to go elsewhere. I really regret my decision, so I hope this transfer works out.

Even though your gpa is a little low, you still should be fine because of how many credits youve completed. Idk about me though cuz temple’s website says you have to complete 15 Credits for temple not to look at my sat scores. But my old guidance counselor sent my scores to temple anyway, even though i didnt need to send them. And my scores are pretty low, so idk if that will affect me or not…

Although they will see your SAT scores since they were sent, I really think they will focus more on the 15 credits that you completed with a 3.32 GPA. With that, I say you have a good chance. Good luck…hopefully we’ll both find out soon.

Any other inputttt?

Did you have to submit a high school transcript as a transfer student?

yes, you have to send your transcript no matter what. But you do not have to send your SAT scores if you have completed 15 or mmore credits at your current college.
