Hey, I'm transferring from Hudson Valley Community College and last semester I received a 3.7 and a 3.7 for my midterm report this semester and should roughly have 27 credits when transferring. I applied as undecided at Harpur. In addition, I provided a letter of recommendation, essay, and a decent amount of extracurricular activities. My high school GPA essentially blew with just an 80 and a low SAT of 1470, though I'm hoping they overlook those and pay more attention to my college transcript and extracurricular. With that taken into account, I personally foresee being waitlisted or possibly denied. Though how do you believe my chances look?

I think you should wait another semester till you have enough credits so you don’t have to send your SATs and high school gpa. I was in the same situation in high school and did well my first two years in college and applied without sending my high school stuff. (Although I’m still waiting for a decision as well). Also, coming in as undecided may hurt your chances as a transfer, I’d declare a major even if you’d end up changing it down the road. Best of luck to you!

Hello! I think your gpa from college is great and would give you a fair shot! I think it would be less risky if you waited a semester so you don’t have to send your high school credentials. But you would have a shot, and I wish you the best!

btw, it would be awesome if you both chanced me too. I also applied as a transfer applicant! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/suny-binghamton/1629251-chance-me-please-transfer-student.html#latest
