I apologize for posting this in the school’s thread, but I was not getting any luck in the ‘What are my Chances’ thread. I’m looking to transfer to USC as an Econ major . I had a 4.3 GPA in high school (out of 5.0) and a 1930 on my SAT. I’m currently in my sophomore year of college. I had to transfer out of my first school after the first semester of freshman year due to family issues (will obviously communicate that with admissions). I still made a 3.71. My current GPA is a 3.91 (3.786 GPA spring semester taking 14 credits, 4.0 fall semester taking 19 credits). I am also a member of the honors college. As far as EC’s go, I am a member of a fraternity, the finance society, management association, advanced sports statistics club, and have helped in the coordination of various philanthropic events such as an Autism Speaks event that raised over $50k and a party that’s proceeds were donated to Breast cancer. I am on Executive Board for the Advanced Sports Statistics Club as the social media coordinator and have also held academic chair in my fraternity. This summer, I also worked full time at the world headquarters of a major corporation. In addition, I should be working as a processing analyst for a financial company this upcoming semester. Lastly, I have a recommendation from an economics professor who though very highly of me. What do my chances look like if I’m looking to apply to USC as an Econ major? I have been looking around, but still have no idea where I stand and if I should even bother applying, would really appreciate any help.
