Transfer Chances

I’m interested in transferring to a better finance or economics program for two reasons. One, the education at my university isn’t exactly top notch and two, I don’t relate well to the environment at my school (drug abuse on campus, overall students academic motivation is low). You might even be able to guess where I attend if you read into this post hard enough.

Basic Rundown:

High School GPA: 2.5

Current School: Private University in NY. Not awful, in fact I was lucky to get in with my high school GPA, but certainly not prestigious in any way (not even ranked top 100).
College GPA: 3.8 first semester (confident in 4.0 for second semester, bringing my average up to 3.9)
ACT: 28
SAT: 1970
Term application: Incoming Sophomore for the fall semester
Race: Caucasian

Extracurriculars:

(1): Legal Internship (4 summers over 4 years)
(2): Worked as a math and reading tutor at a company for ~2 years
(2): Chairman and CEO of two successful startups
(3): Investment Analysis Association and Financial Management Association member at my university
(4): Executive position on Resident Hall Council at my university

Schools I am applying to:

(1) NYU - Economics
(2) Fordham - Finance
(3) Baruch - Finance
(4) Brandeis - Economics
(5) Babson - Finance Concentration

I understand that many schools value secondary education highly during the transfer application process, especially for sophomore transfers. Should I maybe wait another year before applying for transfer so I could maybe gain some more confidence with my college GPA? Otherwise, realistic chances?
