I am currently looking to transfer to Northeastern for the Fall 2016 Semester and I was wondering if anyone could let me know what my chances are of being accepted into the Business School at Northeastern? I’m currently a Freshman at Providence College and after last semester I’ve realized that, although I am comfortable at PC, I want a school that will challenge me outside of class and not just academically. I am looking into schools in Boston with good business programs and Northeastern is my top choice so far! (Also if anyone has any recommendations for me as to other schools to look into that would also be fantastic)

GPA: 3.63

If someone could let me know their thoughts about this I would be extremely grateful.
I’m not quite sure what full pay means, but I do know that I am currently receiving about $8,000 per year in scholarship from PC. I definitely think Northeastern would be a great school for me, especially with their co-op program. Would it make more sense for me to wait to try and transfer until junior year? My only problem is that I have to take Intermediate Accounting next year which may lower my GPA because it is an extremely difficult 4 credit course.
@newenglander367 Full pay means that you don’t get financial aid are paying full tuition/fees/room and board and your current college. PC’s tuition, fees, room and board add up to about $59K. So if you are getting $8K in merit scholarship from PC, that means your parents are paying $51K. Are your parents willing to pay $60K at NEU? You may not get any scholarships if you transfer there. If you are full pay (willing/able to pay $60K) you probably have a better chance of getting in than if you needed financial aid.
You need to have a long conversation with your parents and make sure they are on board with the costs of transferring schools.
@suzyQ7 I have talked to my parents and full pay might work, but it would be a bit of a stretch. Outside of my PC scholarships I also applied for one through my dad’s work which can pay up to $15,000 per year. I think I might apply to Northeastern and a few other schools just so I have the option to transfer. If I get the scholarship that would definitely help me pay for Northeastern even without help from NU.
I just wanted to thank everyone for their input, I’ve been accepted to Northeastern as a transfer for next semester and I am waiting to hear back from UMass.
