Hi, everyone out there plz gives me comments on my chances. Right now I am in UCSB, soon becoming a sophomore. My intended major is actuarial science(it s sort of like statistics). I am planning to transfer as a junior to colleges like upenn, NYU, UMich, UVA,Columbia, UCLA and Berkeley. I know they are all really competitive. My 1st choice is NYU. My cumulative gpa is 3.72. I have no ec. What is my chance of getting into NYU? if u guys have time, plz comment on my chances at other colleges. I d be really appreciate.
p.s. do colleges look at your second year grades? Like upenn, it requires applicants not to take classes as pass/ not pass. So is it ok to take classes as pass/ not pass during my sophomore year since I hate geS (never getting A).

you've got a good shot with a 3.7 from UCSB. I'm not sure if NYU's math department is any more competitive than the general college, but if not then you're a pretty good fit.

All colleges look @ the 1st semester of your second year.
