Transfer Chances

Applying to GW as a junior transfer. I am currently a sophomore at Emory University. I suppose I am applying to the Honors program...

GPA - 3.6
Activities - SGA Rep, Young Dems Exec Board, Faculty Standing Committee Member, Member of many other committees.

Does anyone know if GWU offers scholarships to transfers? Their website isn't clear on this...

Well, it sounds like you're a shoe-in. You have a strong GPA and good EC's.
Good luck!

i am an incoming transfer this semester, as a sophomore. download the pdf application from the admissions website, it has a section on transfer students and the scholarships available. as i remember, they have a few scholarships for students depending on major, and for community college students.

the financial aid office was very generous with need-based aid in my case, so i imagine they afford all transfer students the same aid that regular applicants get. also, being from emory with a good gpa, you might get a presidential scholarship.. who knows. if you don't get a good initial offering, you should call the finaid office and see what they can do, i hear they are very accomodating. also, (i think) presidential scholarships can be applied for after admission if a high GPA is maintained.
