Transfer Chances?

I am a second semester freshman and an out of state student at a large state university in the south.

My first semester GPA was a 3.7 (dean's list) and i would like to be a English or Journalism major. I dont have many EC's in college, mostly the Public Relations Society, community service, Alumni Association and the Honor Society.

My grades were good in high school (I went to a public school in New Jersey). I graduated number 9/252, i dont remember my GPA but i took all honors classes, and only got 3 B's in all of high school, the rest were A's.
I took one AP in high school (not many offered) and got a 3 on the exam.
As for EC's: Varsity Field Hockey 3 letter winner, 2 year captain
Varsity Basketball
Volunteering at Masonic Home for Senior Citizens
National Honor Society
Key Club
Published a poem in a national poetry anthology
I also worked at a library for 2 years.

My SAT's are not good, however.
Math: 560
Verbal: 630
Critical Reading: 630

I am applying to TCNJ as a transfer, what do you think are my chances of getting in? Also, does anyone have any suggestions for other schools i should apply to?

anyone please?

I'd say you have a very good chance. Take a look at BU, Ithaca and Syracuse.

Hi! I just transferred into TCNJ as a first semester freshman.. You have great high school grades and an excellent college record, and while you 1190 SAT is low, you have nothing to worry about. I had a 1200 and was like 35/185 in my class with a high school GPA of 3.6 (didnt factor in college GPA because I hadn't completed a semester yet).. And I must say I love it, everyone is so intelligent and outgoing.. You're in, I can 99% guarantee it (I'll save the 1% in case Princeton transfers to TCNJ)

Thank you!! That gives me so much confidence!
