Mother is an alumni

As it's like the third week of school, I don't have those grades yet - this is if I get them

Talk to us in January.

If you get your 4.0, then you’re as golden as you could be.

Your small, ultracompetitive public high school in Texas - would that happen to be in the San Antonio area by any chance?

Consider applying to Penn as well. Although, given that your HS ranks, and Penn heavily considers rank (they like to keep 96% of their freshman class - those ranked, anyway - in the top decile of their HS in order to maintain their high USNews berth), Columbia may make an easier go of it.

Nope, Houston, sorry. And thanks for the responses. I’m probably going to apply to Georgetown, Claremont McKenna, Uchicago, Columbia and maybe yale if I can pull of the 4.0. Studying pretty hardcore and not pledging so we’ll see.

You can do it! Keep trying, man. What didn’t you like about Vandy?

Decide carefully. That’s my advise as a guy who transferred to Columbia this year.

Visit the school, even if you live far. Check the coursepath you’ll have to take. There’s no going home, Toto. Don’t choose Columbia just because it’s Columbia.

Being a transfer is a different ballgame.

do you not like it lion?

Euh. It hasn’t been a month. I want to give it a semester at least before forming an opinion. For now I’ll just go with “disappointed but not ungrateful”.

It’s not the FIT for me that it is for some people I guess.

^ this is a good idea, when I first came in, I thought about transferring, I wasn’t too bullish about what I saw. I made friends slowly but surely over time; each semester got better, because the network never contracted.

Yeah. Yeah…I’m hoping I have a similar experience because right now my life here is feeling pretty disjointed. Maybe I could just forge some Columbia papers and get into Yale heh.

Sorry, bad joke. Google it though; you’ll get a pretty great little grass-is-always-greener-until-you-****-all-over-it story :D

Also, own several websites selling information products, computers, and the like - bring in roughly 2k/month in profit.

you got a good shot. essays and soft factors are most important.

now this interests me. Purely for my own curiosity, could you elaborate a little bit on your business model?

Yeah, definitely. I sell a DVD at howtobyopc.com and an ebook at 60anhour.com. The ebooks method works - so I make $300/week there. And then the remaining $800 is from the sales of the ebook and the dvd
